Fans have not let England down - Wilshere
The Three Lions midfielder says his side's fans 'were brilliant' regardless of the trouble which erupted following your final whistle in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Russia

England midfielder Jack Wilshere insisted his team-mates don't feel dissatisfied by the country's supporters at Euro 2016, despite UEFA's threat of expulsion following fan violence in Marseille.

Clashes between England and Russia fans around Saturday's 1-1 attract Group B prompted UEFA to warn either side that they may be kicked out of your tournament if your scenes were repeated.

Wilshere was brought about as a other half substitute with the Stade Velodrome and admitted the England players were conscious of the unrest before and during the match.

But he rebuffed suggestions the supporters had let their team down, saying: "Of course not. I wouldn't point out that. Their support inside stadium was fantastic and yes it always is – it turned out the same in Brazil.

"There must have been a little bit of trouble but from what I saw from the stadium the fans were brilliant so we thank them to the.

"Before the action we were obviously aware because almost every player has a Twitter account and you may see over that. But the moment we got on the stadium we felt the fans, it absolutely was fantastic support from the stadium."

Wilshere added the threat of expulsion wouldn't normally affect the team.

"We allow people inside right positions handle that kind of thing and now we just need to give full attention to football," he continued.

"The fans inside the stadium were brilliant. They helped us to execute the way we did. The trouble from the game you happen to be not mindful of while you might be playing – it is just after the experience you are made aware about it."

After missing many of the 2015-16 season which has a leg fracture, Wilshere is feeling the advantage of three appearances for Arsenal and two starts in England's warm-up fixtures for Euro 2016.

He is hopeful of entering Roy Hodgson's starting line-up for one more Group B match against Wales.

"I feel happy and sharp. I have been back sometime and got a great number of games under my belt. I was delighted to have on [against Russia]," Wilshere said.

"Every single player inside the 23 desires to play. If you can't get inside the starting 11 you want for getting on and help the team."
